It is estimated that there are 50 million people in slavery around the world today. Human trafficking is a thriving business. Women and girls make up 71% of all modern slavery victims.
Every Daughter Matters is a registered charity working in Nepal. Their mission is to intercept vulnerable Nepali girls at risk of human trafficking and stop the abuse before it begins.
Shirley Capon is a volunteer with EDM and will be sharing about her recent trip to Nepal and the work of EDM on Saturday 24th May from 1:30pm until 4:30pm.
Cost $10 – proceeds to EDM. Afternoon tea is provided. Friends welcome.
