You might be wondering…
What can I expect at church?
Grab a parking spot off McBryde Crescent – look out for the orange signs – and come on in! Once in the church foyer, you can head into the auditorium and find a seat. We suggest arriving 5 minutes before the service start time. Then take in a 60-minute service that includes worship and the Christmas message.

What time should I arrive?
It’s always best to arrive a few minutes early to give yourself time to find a seat and settle in.
Will there be a kids program?
During the 10am service on Easter Sunday there will be activites for the kids to participate in outside. The team of dedicated kids program leaders all have Working With Vulnerable People cards and do regular training on how to keep children safe.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable! Whether you want to go casual or dress it up a bit, your style will fit right in.
Do I have to participate in everything?
You are not obligated to participate in everything during the service. If you are not comfortable singing, you can simply listen. You are also welcome to stand or sit during the prayers and songs.
What if I don't know anyone?
Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone at the church. Most people are friendly and welcoming to newcomers. You can introduce yourself to the people around you or simply sit quietly and observe.
Will I be pressured to join the Church?
No, you will not be pressured to join the church. Attending an Easter service is a great way to learn more about the Christian faith, but there is no obligation to keep attending.
Who can I contact if I still have questions?
We would love to help, you can either email the office or call us on 6231 7347. If you have any other questions on the day, you can ask a church welcomer, minister or the person you came with. They will be happy to help you.
Jesus
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Thank you for giving to St Matthew’s. Our strong preference is for direct deposits, as we receive exactly the amount you give. However, we can also accept gifts via credit card through the button below. Please note however that a fee of 1.9% + 30c apply, such that if you give $100 St Matts receives $97.80. There is an option to ‘cover the fees’ which you can consider (this increases your giving by the fee amount, such that you would give $102.24 and St Matts would receive $100).

St Matthew’s uses the software platform provider Elvanto to store parishioners’ personal information, including names and contact details. This information is stored on a server located in Australia and is handled by Elvanto in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988. We book events through an Australian-based company named TryBooking, and use the Sydney office of an American-based company Tithe.ly to process credit card donations to St Matthew’s.
