D-Teams
D-teams
A D-Team is a team of Christian high-schoolers who want to grow together as disciples and be trained as disciple makers. It is a discipleship team which grows together under the guidance of a coach so that they can impact the world for Christ.
Primarily this is achieved through reading the bible together, prayer, sharing vulnerably and holding one another accountable to walking humbly and faithfully with Jesus’ day by day. D-teams are the heart and soul of the youth ministry.
The aim of the D-team ministry is that the youth would be built up and grow as disciples of the Lord Jesus and that they would be sent by Him to make disciples.
Each week the groups will read the bible together and share in life by asking the following questions to each other each week.
- Praise. What can you praise God for? Where have you seen his goodness and grace over the last week?
- Scriptures. What have you been reading in the scriptures? How has this challenged you to be growing in Christlikeness?
- Prayer. How has your prayer life been over the past week?
- Confession. What has been challenging recently? How are you going in your fight against sin?
- Evangelism. Who are three non-Christian friends we can being pray for – that God would bring them from death to life?
D-Teams Times
The various times the respective D-teams meet (during school term) in 2023 can be seen below:

| Year 11 Girls | Tuesday 3:30-5pm at the church. |
| Year 11 Boys | Monday 3:30 – 5pm at the church. |
| Year 12 Boys and Girls | Sunday 2:30pm at the church. |
| All ages 7-12 years who can’t make any of the above times | Sunday at 12pm – 1:00pm |

St Matthew’s uses the software platform provider Elvanto to store parishioners’ personal information, including names and contact details. This information is stored on a server located in Australia and is handled by Elvanto in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988. We book events through an Australian-based company named TryBooking, and use the Sydney office of an American-based company Tithe.ly to process credit card donations to St Matthew’s. Both TryBooking and Tithe.ly use an American-based secure online payment system named Stripe to process your donations and event payments. Stripe’s subcontracted service providers are predominantly located in the European Union and the USA. Parish Council is reasonably satisfied that Elvanto, TryBooking, Tithe.ly and Stripe have adequate privacy protection policies and that appropriate privacy protection laws apply in the countries in which your personal information may be transmitted.
